We cannot promise exclusivity but we will try to keep the same type of stall to a minimum. We want to encourage as many traders as possible to attend the market.

We require everyone to book prior to the market day, this not only aids organisation but enables your name to be used in the publicity for the market.

It is impossible to accommodate new stallholders who just turn up on the day.

New Traders

New traders need to contact Anna Barry with details of what they intend to sell, with photographs, and to check availability of stalls prior to booking.

All our traders will have a web page created and added to this site once they become a regular trader. New traders will be added to the traders page and on our traders list for the market dates booked, but with no web links.

Insurance:

Each Trader is responsible for the provision of their own public liability insurance and for the safety of their stall and it’s products.

A copy of the Trader’s insurance certificate and/or insurance policy is required on booking.

If you are not sure of what is required then Anna Barry can advise you.

Anna Barry and the Arts & Crafts Market does not hold any liability for any trader or their products.

Every trader shall participate in the market entirely at his or her own risk in every respect, and shall absolve Anna Barry and the Arts & Crafts Market from responsibility for such risks, including personal injury, loss or damage to property: however this injury, loss or damage may be caused whether by fire, theft, inclement weather, interruption of power, defect in the equipment and building or failure of subcontractors or agents to perform.

Anna Barry and the Arts & Crafts Market cannot be held responsible, and its exhibitors absolve it from any responsibility, for loss of profits, for damage or theft of traders stock, interruption of power or services, or failure of press advertisement fully contracted to appear, inclement weather and failure of sub-contractors or agents to perform, which may result in loss to Traders. Anna Barry and the Arts & Crafts Market does not provide insurance cover for theft or damage to Traders stock and recommends that they take adequate insurance against all risks. It is a condition of booking that exhibitors absolve Anna Barry and the Arts & Crafts Market from any responsibility for refunding fees paid by them except as specified under these conditions.

Purchasing Public Liability Insurance

If you are looking for insurance I would recommend that you contact your household contents insurers first, as you may already be covered for public liability. Please ensure that they do provide public liability for you to sell your products outside the home and not just public liability in the home or products liability outside the home, which will not be adequate. You will need to request a letter from your insurers to confirm that you are covered by public liability insurance to sell your goods at our events and I will need to be sent a copy of this with your insurance certificate.

If you are not covered under your household policy then I would suggest that you get a quote from the following four providers, but please do think about what cover you need and talk to the companies to see if they cover you to the level you require. It is the traders responsibility to ensure that they are covered adequately.

Anna Barry & The Arts & Crafts Market Ltd does not take any responsibility for the following companies service and only has these links on the website as a guide to traders. All costs stated on this page are for guidance only and you must ensure that you get a quote for your own insurance cost.

i) Ian Wallace, Craft Insurance Scheme, who specialise in craftsmen insurance, at £66.50 for 1 million public liability insurance.

ii) GM Insurance, 020 7231 5005, probably the best value for money at £50 for an annual cover of 5 million public liability, includes products, employers and legal liability.

iii) The National Market Traders Federation, gives wide cover as above for £70 per annum.

iv) Wendy Fair Markets, £51 for an annual cover of 5 million public liability insurance, which includes product liability or £61 to include employers liability.
